Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pokit Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with the Rounderz application (the “App”), which merchants install on their Shopify store to round cash sales to the nearest increment in Shopify POS.

1. Information we collect

The App is intentionally minimal and collects only what it needs to run:

• Store and installation data from Shopify when the App is installed: your store domain, store ID, and the OAuth access tokens that let the App operate as an installed app on your store.
• Subscription status: whether your store has an active subscription to the App, which we read from Shopify to unlock the App.
• Operational data, such as server logs used to run, secure, and troubleshoot the App.

The App does not collect your customers’ personal information. Cash rounding is calculated on the POS device from the cart total; the rounding increment you choose is stored locally on each POS device, not on our servers. The App does not collect payment card numbers, and does not use store data for advertising.

2. How we use information

• To provide and operate the cash-rounding features of the App.
• To determine whether your store’s subscription is active.
• To provide support, maintain security, and prevent abuse.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us operate the App, and only as needed to provide the service:

• Shopify — the platform the App runs on and the source of store and subscription data.
• Cloud infrastructure providers — we host the App on Fly.io and store operational data in a managed PostgreSQL database. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data storage and security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We restrict access to store data to what is needed to operate the App and rely on reputable infrastructure providers with industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your store’s installation data for as long as the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, we delete the stored session data for your store, and we honor data deletion requests received through Shopify’s data-protection processes. You may also request deletion at any time by contacting us at support@pokitapps.com.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal information (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA). To exercise these rights, contact us at support@pokitapps.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means.
